A patrol from C Coy was searching a house at Derryfineen when a number of men ran away from the house. They opened fire, and one man, Jeremiah Casey died as a result. Evidence was given by T/C ER Wilson and T/C HW Owen was also there . The verdict was that he was shot by ADRIC in execution of their duty. The patrol was under DI3 Fleming.
