Lt Robert Anderson, Royal Irish Rifles

I appears that this is the man, but I cannot be absolutely certain, his name makes it difficult.

1896 Oct/Dec. Born (ADRIC roll gives age 24). If he just "Robert" then only one man fits this in Tyrone (there is a "Robert William" of same age)

1901 census at Coolkill, Benburb, Tyrone

1911 census at Coolkill, Benburb, Tyrone

1913 Nov 12. He enlists in RGA Antrim Special Reserve. The local RIC sergeant gives him a reference. "He is the son of most respected parents. large farmers. He has been a bit wild, but there has never been anything against his character"

1913 Dec 1. Enters Military Hospital Belfast with Gonorrhoea

1913 Dec 19 Discharged from hospital

1914 Jan 19 Purchases his discharge for £3.

1915 Nov 19. Landed in France

1917 May 30 . Commissioned 2nd Lt in R Irish Rifles

1921 Apr 4. Applies for medals from Co Tyrone

1921 Apr 25. Joined ADRIC with service no 1914. Posted L Coy

1921 Oct 6. Admitted Stevens Hospital

1921 Dec 21. Dismissed the Force
