1918 Sep 12. Gazetted MC. T./2nd Lt. Frederick John Boyd, 62nd Bn , M.G. Corps. For conspicuous gallantry at Havrincourt on 12th Sept.. 1918. in successfully leading his section across exposed ground swept by intense shelling and in establishing two guns in advanced positions of great tactical importance. He assisted in organising the defence, and maintained the advanced positions throughout a most critical period.
