1915 Nov 6 Enlisted in 7th Scottish Rifles. 10 St Brides Rd, Egremont, Cheshire. He was a Theatrical Manager, his father was a tailor. His mother Mrs Maria Dale.

1919 Jan 31 MC Gazette. T./Lt. (A./Capt.) Percy Dale, R. Sco. Fus., attd. 11th Bn., T.F. He displayed initiative and resourcefulness in an attack on 30th September on an enemy position near Fauquissart by going out sitinar his posts with the division on his right. He personally superintended the siting and occupation of his posts under heavy sniping and machine-gun fire. Throughout the day his cheerfulness and disregard of danger inspired his men with confidence

1920 Oct 28. Joined ADRIC with service no 892. Posted to A Coy. He was a Territorial Officer and appears to have gone to Ireland without getting leave. In the end nothing was done about this

1929 Nov 9 . A Percy Dale age 39 arrives in UK from Canada, he is in RCMP, with wife Mary E. Their UK address is Strand Hall, Strand, near Whitefield, Manchester.

1934 Sep 26. Capt. Percy Dale, M.C., late 5th Bn. P.W. Vols., is deprived of the rank of Capt., also the rank of Capt. which he retained on relinquishing his temp, commn. in the Regular Army, on conviction by the Civil Power. He is at 4 Halto Rd, Islington
