Lt Charles Ernest Davies

The GCM notes for Trim Trial gives him as Charles Ernest Davies. I do not think he could have been born Charles Ernest Davies. His dob seems correct in that it is in 1939 Register and his death. It turns out he was born "Charlie Ernest Davies" in Enfield

1898 His parents married

1899 Feb 17 Born Berks (RIC). His Marriage Cert says his father was a survevor called Ernest Davies

1901 census with his mother in Holy Cross , Shropshire. This has birth in Enfield

1911 census. I can find his parents, but not him

1921 Jan 5. Joined ADRIC with service no 1450. Posted to N Coy

1921 Jan 24. Promoted Section Leader

1921 Mar 19. Reverted to T/Cadet. Relinquishes CQM

1921 Apr 22. Suspended, a late addition to the man charged for Trim Looting

1921 Jun Tried by GCM for looting and found not guilty

1922 Jan 14. Discharged at demobilisation of ADRIC

1928 Nov 28 Married in Trim. Inereesting n that this marriage is in Trim, where he had been charged with looting

1939 Register Living at "Ashdene" Chandos Road , Newbury M.B., Berkshire with wife Kathleen. He is a Builders Merchant's Manager

1973 Died Winchester aged 73 . Exact dob
