1941 Jun 13. Auckland Star reports him as having been wounded. WW2 Joins New Zealand Army as CSM his next of kin is mother Sarah Strickland in 68 Wilson Rd, Portsmouth (as on MIC) . He was a foreman living in Kilbirnie, Wellington

1957 On the Wellington Electoral Roll. He has retired.

1970 Oct 10. . Died aged 66 years and interred in the RSA section of Karori Cemetery in Wellington.
