1918 Jul 26. R.H. and R.F.A.—Lt. S. J. Sunderland is placed temporarily on the h.p. list on account of ill-health contracted on active service.

1924 Apr 24. Leaves UK for Canada on SS Montlaurier. He would appear to be emigrating. Although he doe not have his wife with him the reason for going is "to make a home for my family". His wife is Louisa Harriet. I cannot find her going to Canada

1926 Jul 26 He is a fireman on the SS Canadian Constructor arriving at New York

1927 May 1. He is an Oiler on the same ship in New York

1964 Oct 2. died. Given in Royal Artillery records, but does not record where he died. There is a Samuel J Sunderland died in Devon Oct/Dec 1964 which looks like him
