I cannot untangle whether there are 1 or 2 men called Howard in Palestine Gendarmeri. There was certainly a Cecil Eric Howard, but it is EH Howard on the list joining in Ireland, and I can find little on him. CE Howard seems for have joined Gendarmerie in Oct 1921, the EH Howard in Mar 1922
