BRIDE'S SURPRISE A Short Honeymoon After a honeymoon which lasted 11 days, said Doris Edna Whyte, formerly Fleming, in the Divorce Court to-day, her husband, Peter Giles Tennyson Whyte, selected the first of April to desert her. 'We were married In Sydney in March 192O" said Mrs Whyte ''and lived together at the Hotel Metropole afterwards taking a flat in Darlinghurst. On April 1 I went into the city, and on my return I found my husband had left the flat. l have not seen him since. "I see you were only married 11 days" remarked Mr Acting Justice Ralston. '"Was there any other reason to account for him deserting you?" "We had no quarrel" said Mrs Whyte, "and there was no other reason" "A short honeymoon" said Mr Maddox Cohen who appeared for Mrs Whyte, daughter (?) A decree nisi was granted for 6 months.
