1900 May 7 In hospital until he is sent back to UK.

1900 Jul 21 Returns UK from South Africa

1901 Feb Discharged medically unfit.

1905 Nov 30 marries Jenny Evinda Eagle at Brightingsea

1906 Au 6. Son Colin Frederick Langley Aldrich born

1911 census at 32 High Street, Brightlingsea

1914 Aug 26 Enlists again in ASC Special Reserve. His civilian trade is "chemist". He has a wife Jenny Evinda Aldrich and son

1915 Apr 2. Commissioned in 22nd London Regt

1916 Jun 1. 2nd Lt. (temp. Lt.) C. F. Aldrich to be Lt.,

1920 Sep 17 joined the ADRIC with service no 600.

1920 Oct 15 Absentee, struck off strength of ADRIC

1939 At Madeira Hotel Annexe Cliff Road , Falmouth M.B., Cornwall. He is given as single and a schoolmaster. The whole school appear to be there.

1945 Jan/Mar died Colchester age 67. The death cert says he died of cancer and that he was a retired schoolteacher. He is commemorated by Framlingham School on their war memorial,but not in a CWGC recognised grave
