1936 Feb 21. Catholic Herald reports " Details for the amalgamation of the Yorkshire area of A.R.O. and the Yorkshire Stage Carriage Operators Association have now been settled. As the Y.S.C.O.A. has agreed to sink its identity in A.R.O.. the latter will, it is stated, acquire about 2,000 new members. Not long ago, Yorkshire Motor Coach Owners, Ltd., threw in its lot with the national organization. According to figures which have been quoted, 'the latest merger brings the total A.R.O. membership in Yorkshire to about 3,000. Mr. F. G. Bibbings, general secretary of Y.S.C.O.A., has been appointed chief executive officer for A.R.O. Yorkshire area. ...The old A.R.O. offices in East Parade, Leeds, will probably be closed, and the staffs of the merged organizations will be concentrated at the Y.S.C.O.A. offices at 62.
