1911 census he is not in British nor Irish census. His father and mother are at MacDonnell Terrace, West End, Kilkee, Clare. His trial says he was an Engineer in Canada before the war

1914 Sep 19. The undermentioned members and ex-members of the Inns of Court, Officers Training Corps, to be temporary Second Lieutenants: — John Deane Biggs

1916 Jan 13. The Royal Munster Fusiliers. Temporary Second Lieutenant John D. Biggs relinquishes his commission.

1917 Jun 9 . SWB was refused.

He appears to have returned to France with YMCA from the evidence at his trial. But there is no MIC from this.

1920 Sep Married in Dublin . A child John Deane Biggs born same year

1921 Feb 25. Joined ADRIC with service no 1760. Posted to O Coy for a few days then on to P Coy

1921 Dec 6 In Mountjoy Prison . He appears to have got 3 months. His wife Annie is living at 35 Cherryhill Av, Clonkea
