He became a tank commander in 13th Company 'E ' Battalion. He had to ditch his tank 'Executioner at 3rd Ypres and then at Cambrai his 'Empire' tank was hit at the Brown line but rallied (possibly wounded)

1918 Aug 8. Took part of a raid that captured the plans of the Hindenberg Line - the plans that are said to have won the war, as they gave the complete disposition of every German position
1921 Nov 8. Accepted in England. Joined ADRIC with service no 2163. Posted to N Coy

1922 Jan .He appears to have served until demobilisation.
