1929 Jan 24, Annie died in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 1929 they lived at 619-1 Ave NW Calgary which is the address from which he applied for his medals). The family have copies of their marriage registration and her death registration. Annie died of “Acute myocarditis following an operation on 21 Jan 1929 for removal of fibroid cysts and appendix.”

Martina Caddel emailed me in Nov 2018. At the end of August of this year, his great-granddaughter, Sarah Freedman, contacted me by an email address I left on Ancestry. Donald R Hart's granddaughter Elaine was an only child, daughter of Basil Donald J Hart and Marjorie Bell. She was born in 1946 in Brighton. Elaine passed in 2010 in Penrith, Cumbria, England. Elaine married a Simon Freedman and had a daughter and son. The son has no children and the daughter is divorced with two daughters. The present family did not know anything about Donald when they wrote. Basil 'Don' Hart did not know that DR Hart had divorced Cecily. Cecily may not have told her son. 'Don' kept a newspaper cutting of Donald Robert’s obituary which names Cecily and him as his family in England.
