1873 Feb 10. Born Childs Okeford, Dorset. (he gave his age on joining ADRIC as 42, he was in fact 47)

1881 census at Manor Farm, Childe Okeford.

1891 census Not in it. I assume because he was at sea.

1893 May 12. Gets 2nd Mate's cert. "Of Blandford, Dorset. " Age 20

1901 Census not in it. He had South Africa Medal so ought to have been there.

1911 census at East Farm, Hammoon, Blandford, Sturminster, Newton, Dorset

1919 Chief Officer MMR Frederick C Hopkins, Chief Officer. Princess Maud . Requisitioned by the Admiralty from 1916 to 1918. Reverted to civilian use in Feb 1918, and torpedoed in Jun 1918 . Of the crew of 29 only 5 were saved. (survivors include H W Black, )

1920 Dec 22. Joined ADRIC with service no 1310. Posted to M Coy

1922 Jan 19. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1922 Nov 16. Of Childe Okeford, Blandford, Dorset Travels to Sydney, Aus. Travels 3rd class age 49. No profession given.

1926 Jun 27. Died Queensland. Aus (gives his parents)
