RAF Record

1918 Mar 24. Appointed Flying Officer in RFC

1918 Aug Crashed and was injured. His observer, 2nd Lieutenant Herbert Norman Ullyot (Ullyat in RAF List). , was killed. Kesterton was flying in Armstrong Whitworth FK8 B4163. The RAF Communique reports the weather as fine with few enemy aircraft seen that day.

1919 Jan 10. Promoted Lt

1919 Feb 23. RAF. Transferred to Unemployed List.

1920 Dec 29. Joined ADRIC with service no 1371. Posted to M Coy

1921 Feb 3. Wounded at Clonfin Ambush and posted to Depot Coy. He later received £1500 compensation for his injuries, so they must have been severe.

1921 May 6 to 23 Jun. Medical Leave

1921 Jul 1. Discharged medically unfit, due to his service with RIC

1921 Jul 2. Pension paid for 12 months

1922 Jan 13 Leaves Hamburg for UK. He is an engineer living in Berlin

1924 Jun 17 Leaves UK for Sydney . Intends settling in Australia. He is an Engineer.

1925 Apr 21. Arrives UK from Sydney.

1929 Jan/Mar Married in Paddington to Jessie Tait Russell Craik (1890–1974)
