BM Mapson arrives in Register with no details, no rank, no date, no discharge, nothing . It took place about 6 Aug 1920, from its position in the register. In fact he was erroneously given an ADRIC number and never joined ADRIC, instead being taken on as a Black & Tan Constable

Bertie immigrated to New Westminster BC Canada in 1922. He became a police constable there and died in a boating accident on Pitt Lake BC while chasing down a criminal where he struck a submerged log and flipped into the water and drowned.....Bob Mapson
But on the other hand articles by his son say " My father had drowned in Pitt Lake five years earlier—I still remember it like it was yesterday. Because Dad had no pension or benefits," One would have thought that he would have got a pension if he had been on duty when killed. I cannot find a newspaper report
