Only one entry on Alphabetic Register, and that is for AE Masters, who did not attest. Numeric Register has two entries AR Masters 1664, Royal Sussex posted to Depot, joined 18 Feb 1921 and AE Masters 1713, struck off as not attested 18 Feb 1921, posted to Depot (but nothing further against his name) I believe these are one and the same

1901 census His mother is at home with the 2 girls, but no Arthur. Arthur seems to be here, Hassocks Villa, Keymer. The parents must have separated

1915 Nov 8. The Royal Sussex Regiment. Arthur Ernest Masters to be temporary Second Lieutenant.
1918 2nd Lt. A. E. Masters is granted the hon. rank of Lt.

1924 May 2. Arrested for fraud. This appears to be him, based on no others that fit from births. There are no London records of his trial
1939 Sep 1. Commissioned Fl Lt in RAF V R
1941 Apr 26. Flight Lieutenant Arthur Ernest MASTERS (75273) relinquishes his commission on cessation of duty.
1944 Apr 7. 12 months for false pretences. This appears to be him, the age is correct, and I suspect he made a temporary Squadron Leaadrer, between 1939 and 1941. There is only one Arthur Ernest Masters commissioned in RAF.
1968 Jul/Sep Died Thurrock, Essex aged 73
