1911 census he is in Dublin.

1916 Nov 11. MSM to S/22200 Sjt. H. G. Mitchell, A.S.C.

1918 Mar 27. Commissioned 2nd Lt

1919 Sep 27. Promoted Lt. Som. LI—H. G. Mitchell.

1920 Dec 31. Som. L.I. — Lt. H. G. Mitchell retires receiving a gratuity.

1921 Oct 26. Joined ADRIC with service no 2134. Posted to P Coy

1922 Jan 24. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1939 Register. He is with his wife Alice , he is an Innkeeper at 1 Saint James Street , King's Lynn M.B., Norfolk, Ex Somerset Light Infantry

1955 Sep. Died Norwich aged 74.
