1920 He had a number of children with Margaret Louise Webb on an Ancestry tree, but BMD gives Maud Wilson as their mother.

His grandson wrote. I only found out last year who Margaret Webb was, as we always thought Maud Wilson was his mother as this is who the mother is on his birth cert. James got Magaret [Margaret Louise Webb] pregnant 3 times as far as I know but didn't support them so she was forced into putting them into Barnados. I just got all the records given to me from the C of E society which confirms all this. even to the point that my dad and his sister were known as Webb until they started work when they found out their birth cert showed them as Moore. from then on to save confusion they became Moores. Another brother was sent to Australia in 193? and spent his life trying to find my dad and his twin sister, only managing to do so around 1990 when the law changed and allowed to see his records. we did meet him before he died. Funnily enough I do remember meeting Maud once in the 70's and she was with George. Don't know to this day whether my dad thought she was his mum or not. Really really sad story about them all.
