1911 Sep 18 Enlisted in KSLI. He was a musician and gardener

1914 Oct 24 promoted Sergeant

1915 Dec 23. Discharged no longer fit for war service. He is a Sgt. Epilepsy seems to be the reason. He obviously re-enlists in 1918, but I cannot find that.

1916 Oct/Dec Married in Kensington to ADA CATCHPOLE

1917 Mar 10 SWB issued to Sgt A W Watters

1919 May 3. Commissioned 2nd Lt. Commission on discharge

1920 Dec 29. Joined ADRIC with service no 1340. Posted to M Coy
