1918 Jul 31 . Commissioned 2nd Lt in RDF. The National Archives ref to his officer file is in WO338. The brackets round 245733 implies that the file is not in TNA, but with the MOD. A" P" no was given to men who served after 1922, but in his case it may or may not have been crossed out. You need to take this ref as it is to TNA and ask if they can get any further
