From Hong Kong Daily Press, 9th September 1929 - Full honours were given him at his funeral at the Protestant Cemetery in Happy Valley, Hong Kong. 'A native of Stepney (London), he served with a London Regiment during the war and was for some time with theRoyal Irish Constabulary and then with the Palestine Police. He left Home with a batch of other recruits (for HK) in 1923 . After passing out of the Police Training School he was promoted to Lance Sergeant in 1924, and was promoted to Acting Police Sergeant when he went on leave last year. He only returned from leave on August 1st. Sergeant Dyerson was 31 years of age and unmarried."
