1921 Feb 3. He was involved in Clonfin Ambush, but was not noted as wounded, but later sought compensation. He was driving a tender. He was paid £1000 compensation for injuries to his stomach when he was thrown against the steering wheel by the explosion

1921 Apr 2. Posted to Depot. He was on Medical Leave from this date to 14 May

1921 May 6. Left hospital in Dublin

1921 May 25 Allowed to resign on medical grounds.

 

1922 Married Bertha Hinton in Hackney

1924 Jun 27. Arrives in Canada intending to settle . His wife Bertha is living at 21 Cynthia Rd, Oldfield Park, Bath - this is his parents house. His wife arrives in Canada on 21 Sep 1924

1931 ensus at Magog, Quebec, Canada with wife Bertha and their family . He job is a Engineer

1944 Nov 19. Their son, A RCAF officer was killed over Germany. Son of William and Bertha Bellingham, of Magog, Province of Quebec, Canada.
