1911 census. Neither boy is in it. Their mother is staying at Plymouth, Duke Of Cornwall Hotel. The father is a patient it what appears to be a small nursing home in Portland Place , London

1914 Dec 5. Officillly reported a POW. This is certainly our man

1918 Dec 30. Repatriated from Germany

1919 Feb 18. Demobilised

1919 Seamans card. Difficult to be sure here. The reverse of the card gives discharged Devenport 18 Feb 1919, which ties in with man above being demobilised. But his DOB id 2 Mar 1893 not 23 Mar 1891
