1917 Apr 25. Commissioned 5th Rifle Brigade.

1918 Oct 26. Rif. Brig. Temp. 2nd Lt. A. C. C. Farmer to be temp. Lt. His MIC gives him on 53rd Rifle Brigade. 53rd (Young Soldier) Battalion Rifle Brigade. A basic recruit training unit based at Northampton, it was part of 4th Reserve Brigade.

1920 Oct 25 Joined ADRIC with service no 859. Posted to F Coy

1920 Nov 21. He identifies the body of H E Spenle. The two men who identified H.E. Spenle's body at the inquest, were both Temporary Cadets in "F" Company of the Auxiliary Division. Lieutenant A.C.C. Farmer was no. 852 and 2/Lieutenant B.H. Emery was no. 699.

His witness statement at Spenle's inquest says he is of the "Police Advisor Staff"

1921 Jan/Mar married Kathleen Hastings Brown in London he describes himself as "Staff Officer, Civil Service,Intelligence Dept"

1921 Sep 1. The undermentioned relinquish their commissions on completion of service.and retain the rank of Lt.: A. C. C. Farmer.

1922 Jan 19. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1939 Register at The Marines Priory Lane , Hambledon R.D., Surrey, He is a Hotel Keeper, living with his wife Kathleen

1960 Oct 10. died Surrey aged 66
