1903 Feb 25. Attested to Hussars. He was a tailor, and had previously purchased his way out of RFA. His father was Archibald Henry Gravenor of East Dulwich

1904 Mar 14. Deserted

1904 Oct 11. Rejoined and sentenced to 28 days .

1904 Nov 28. Discharged on his release from Military Prison - physically unfit

1907 Dec 7. Enlisted in US Army

1908 Feb 15 Deserted from US Army

1911 census.He is a Police Constable living with brother Alfred in Yale, Yale and Cariboo, British Columbia

1916 Sep 11. His wife is killed by an explosion. From Cowichan Chronicles by Thomas William Paterson. A report is in Winnipeg Free Press

1916 Oct 2. Enlisted in Canadian Exp Force. He was living in Vancouver. His mother address was Anne Edith Gravenor, Cold Harbour Lane, London. He was a widower, a logger and had served in NWMP

1917 Aug/Sep Married in Staines to Ethel M Lawrence

1918 Aug 24. Lieut Gravenor and fifteen Other Ranks attended the District Sports at the Base Depot and our Company won the tug-of-war with ease, besides our winning several of the events. Our man are now deeply engrossed in getting into shape for the Corps Sports at which we have no doubt they will meet with equal success.

1918 Aug 28. After over a year in Woburn Sands the Company is about to complete its Forestry Operations; as pointed out above, the Canadian Mill stopped working on the 8th, and now all energies are directed to the work of getting out Pit Props and cleaning up the Bush; also some fifteen men are engaged in the Resaw. The advance party of forty Other Ranks left for the new site at Brockenhurst on August 28th, under the command of Lieut A.H. Gravenor and in three days they have erected their Hutments and commenced Log felling.

1949 Nov 25 Arrives in UK from Canada with wife Constance. He is a sales manager and lives in London

1956 Sep 5. Died in British Columbia. His widow was Constance Marguerite Mary Lawrence
