Michael Greene RGA

This appears to be right man from RIC roll, but I cannot follow him with a common name. It is possible that he is the Michael Greene who went to USA in late 1909, refused naturalisation in 1915.

1882 Dec 27 Born Killmurry,Kilkishen, Clare (registered Jan/Mar at Tulla).

1898 Aug 31. Joined the RGA Militia in Clare.

1898 Oct 19. R Munster Fusiliers as a regular for 7 and 5. Mother Mary Greene, Tulla

1900 Apr 18 Discharged with Ignominy. He was in UK the whole time. The record does not give a reason

1916 Oct 31. The undermentioned Wt. and N.C.Os. to"be 2nd Lts. for service in the Field. RGA Batt.-Serjt.-Maj. Michael Greene.

1920 Oct 17 . RGA .Lt. M. Greene is placed on the h.p. list.

1920 Nov 1. Joined ADRIC with service no 1001 Posted to B Coy

1921 May 12 to 25 May on Leave

1921 Jul 13 to 26 on Leave

1921 Oct 13 to 29 on Leave

1922 Jan 23. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1939 Register Living at TULLA, Higham Rd, Strood (part of Chatham). He is chief invoice clerk for Short Bros. His wife Elizabeth is "incapacitated"

1947 Jun Died in Chatham (living in Chatham in 1923 & 1939) ?
