1921 Jan 10. Joined ADRIC with service no 1471. Posted to K Coy

1921 Mar 13. Posted to O Coy

Fined 5/- by Coy Commander

1922 Jan 16. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1922 Mar 28. Joined the British Gendarmerie section of the Palestine Police as a Constable.

1932 Jun 12. Arrives UK from Port Said. Police Palestine. Mackenzie Place, Wishaw

1935 Aug 25. Leaves UK for Port Said. Travels with wife Margaret and child Eugene aged 1. 67 Bigger/Biggan Rd, Cleland, Lanarkshire. Palestine Police, Assit. Superintendent.

1939 Aug 11. Downing Street, The King has been graciously pleased to award the Colonial Police Medal for Gallantry to the members of the Police Forces whose names appear below:—. John Charles Martin, D.C.M., Deputy District Superintendent, Palestine Police Force

1939 Sep 1. Arrives UK from Port Said with wife Margaret and Eugene

1944 Aug 26. Died Palestine of natural causes. Buried Jerusalem Latin Cemetery Jerusalem Yerushalayim (Jerusalem District), Israel. Colonial Police Medal (For Gallantry). Son of Thomas Andrew and Joanne Martin; husband of Margaret Martin, of Glasgow. CWGC
