Capt. George McEwen, DCM

1882 Aug 4 Born . He has Lincolnshire in RIC and in 1911 census but that is not correct, unless his name has changed. I suspect he was born in Lancs, signed up in Koyl in 1898, and got thrown out for misconduct in 1905. If that is him, it may explain why he has born Lincolnshire on his army record with RHA.

1911 census at Agra India with 4th Battery Royal Field Artillery, single, sergeant, born Grimsby. The only McEwen in the census is Rose, married , aged 28 living at 39 Peaksfield Avenue, Grimsby
