1911 census I cannot find him. He appears to have gone into service as a footman, and is presumably hidden in a big house list of servants

1914 Aug 21. Enlisted in Dragoon Guards. He was a footman at Tredegar Park, Newport, Mon. His father was Arthur Tyrrell of Gordon Rd, Camberley

1915 Oct 5. Landed in France with 3rd Dragoon Guards

1917 Oct 30. Posted back to UK to 6th Reserve Dragoon Guards, still a private

1918 Feb 8. Posted to Officer Cadet Battalion at Winchester

1918 Jul 30 Commissioned in Shropshire LI and posted to R W Fus

1918 Jul 5 to 15 in Hospital with influenza

1920 Sep 28 . Joined ADRIC with service no 636. Posted to J Coy

1921 Mar 19 to 3 Apr on Leave

1922 Jan 23. Discharged on demobilisation of ADRIC

1929 Feb 2.. Died Farnham, Surrey aged 35. Probate to his mother. In 1929 at the time of his death he was attached to the 2nd King’s Shropshire Light Regiment at Aldershot . He died at his mother’s home in Gordon Avenue and was buried with full military honours; men from his regiment attended and after his coffin was lowered the buglers sounded the ‘Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’.
