1904 Jul 5. Enlisted when he was 16, giving age as 18. 2nd West Yorks Regt

 

1911. I cannot find them in Ireland nor England census

1915 Jul 15 Landed in Gallipoli

1915 Aug 24 Wounded at Gallipoli.

1915 Sep 20. Evacuated to England. "SS Alaunia"

1915 Oct 15 Posted to 3rd Battalion at Whitley Bay

1916 Dec 30. Commissioned 2nd Lt. W.York.R.—Co.Serjt.-Maj. Victor Ronald Scott .

1917 Oct 2. To be acting Capt while commanding a company . 2nd Lt in W Yorks.

1918 May 27 Taken POW. 2nd battalion

1918 Jun 30. Promoted Lt

1918 Dec 31. Repatriated UK

1919 Jul 11. Relinquishes the acting rank of Capt

1920 Jun 10. Leaves India to return to UK to retire

1920 Aug 10. Retires with rank of Capt

1921 Feb 3. Joined ADRIC with service no 1625. Posted to O Coy.

1921 Feb 13 Posted to N Coy

1921 Feb 26. Admitted Stevens Hospital

1921 Mar 3. VR Scott died in Dublin. Probate to his mother. There was an military court of enquiry, pointing perhaps to suicide. Those who are mentioned at the inquiry were S/L J Williams, S/L AE Cooper, T/C Valentine, T/C A David, T/C S Oliver

1921 Mar 17. His mother writes to War Office
