An Ancestry tree gives that In 1897 aged 29 Benjamin Charles married Jennet Davies aged 22 on June 30th and on July 29th they sailed from Liverpool aboard the Orepesa to Buenas Aries, his occupation is listed as Farmer..also with them was a sister Margaret aged 27. We now believe that his father David Charles was already living in Argentina which would explain his absences from the Census returns and also why his occupation is listed a Farmer on Ben’s marriage certificate. He appears in the 1895 census return for Argentina and is listed as 61,married and a farmer or market gardener. Ben and his wife had 2 children David born March 1899 and Rheola b? approx. a year after his daughter’s birth Jennet died and feeling unable to cope with 2 children Ben send David back to Wales on a sailing vessel. He moved to live with is Aunt Ruth and her family in Gorseinon. 1909
